If you’re following us on Twitter or connected to our LinkedIn, you will know that we take every opportunity possible to attend networking events.
To us it’s a valuable opportunity to not only expand on our knowledge within our specialist areas, but also learn from the successes of others and share experiences with professionals and business owners.
The Networking with Neighbours event held at the National Conference Centre (NCC), Birmingham on Friday, was the perfect opportunity to do all of the above and more.
Jointly hosted by Birmingham and Coventry and Warwickshire Chambers the networking event saw a great turn out; with around 30-40 people from both chambers attend. As always, the NCC provided a warm welcome to all, with a member of the team providing an introductory presentation about the NCC with tours available.
The purpose of this particular networking event was for businesses to expand their network, promote their business and gain new contacts in a new area.
Amongst the attendees that we were fortunate to meet were, Managing Director of Advanced Driving Services Ltd and Annalisa Holmes of MCL create Ltd.
Our Solicitor Dippalli who attended the event commented:
“There was a great turn out from all of the chambers involved, and I was fortunate enough to meet some useful contacts that I had synergy with, and people I hope to work with in the near future.
“Here at Schofield & Associates Employment Lawyers we frequently attend networking events as it’s always a great opportunity to stay on trend with the HR, employment law and legal industry, and also connect with key influencers. The Networking with Neighbours event provided exactly that, and allowed us to talk with other businesses about general day-to-day activity and gain a further understanding of what’s going on in our local area and beyond.”
Aside from attending regular networking events our Principal Solicitor Eileen also takes part in round table discussions relating to employment law. Most recently Eileen attended an open discussion with stress management training company, Altruist Enterprises. The topic for the open discussion was stress in the workplace. You can view a video of highlights from the discussion here.
As we mentioned, we frequently attend networking events particularly those hosted by the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, who understand that connections are a crucial to the success of any business. You can keep up to date with the networking events that we attend via our Twitter and LinkedIn.
